Greg Anderson

Human Resources Director

Greg’s passion is helping others achieve their goals and to perform at their best. Greg has made the electrical industry his career since 1981. Following successful completion of the Sacramento/River Cities Electrical Joint Apprenticeship Program, Greg attended California State University, Sacramento and obtained the necessary teaching credentials. He started teaching the apprenticeship program as well as journey-level upgrade training in the evenings while working as a Foreman and Service Technician during the day.

In 1990, Rex Moore identified a need for a comprehensive in-house education and training program and Greg was selected to design, develop and deliver technical, supervisory and management training to all Rex Moore employees. Additionally, Greg assumed responsibility for the company’s safety and health policies and programs as well as technical employee recruiting.

In the late 1990’s Greg was promoted to Director of Human Resources responsible for all human resources functions within the company, including workforce planning and employment, risk management, compensation programs, employee and labor relations, organization development and employee development. He also is a Corporate Board member and serves on the Management Team that guides the strategic direction of the company.

Greg is active in industry trade associations, specifically the Western Electrical Contractors Association and its statewide apprenticeship and training programs. He has served as a member of both the Board of Directors and Apprentice Training Committee and has held the offices of Treasurer, Vice President, President and Chair of the Apprentice Training Committee.

Greg holds Master Electrician and/or Electrical Contractor Licenses in California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado and Washington. He also holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification granted by the internationally recognized HR Certification Institute.

Greg is married, has two grown children and so far remains free of the “grandpa” title. He enjoys snow skiing, a little golf, mountain biking and experimenting in the kitchen especially with wine and food pairing.
